About TT Home Waste Club

What is TT Home Waste Club?

A monthly membership from Trailer Trash Skips for households whose council bins aren’t enough: extra bin pickups, bin cleaning, event clean-ups, metal collections and discounts on skip hire. See all the services.

What's the difference between a Membership and Full Bin Service?

Membership adds extras on top of the council bins you already have. Full Bin Service is separate: we supply a 240L bin and empty it on a fixed schedule, for properties council doesn’t adequately service, such as commercial-zoned dwellings, high-volume households and secondary dwellings.

Full Bin Service doesn’t include Membership benefits.

Where do you operate?

Across Melbourne. We may decline an address outside our service area, so if you’re unsure, ask us first.

Pricing & payment

How much does it cost?

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

  • Essential Club: $39 / month
  • Family / Executive: $59 / month
  • Estate / Premier Concierge: $99 / month
  • Full Bin Service: a one-off $49 signup fee, then per bin each month: garbage $97 weekly or $49 fortnightly; recycling $76 weekly or $38 fortnightly.
Can I pay annually?

Yes. Pay for the year up front and save 5%: choose “Annual” above the membership prices.

How do I pay, and is it secure?

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by us.

Is there a minimum term?

Yes, 3 months from sign-up, for both Membership and Full Bin Service. After that you can cancel at any time.

How do I cancel?

After your minimum term, email hello@tthomewasteclub.com.au or use the contact form. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep your benefits until then.

Can I get a refund?

Payments already charged are non-refundable, including for a cancelled or partly used billing period. This doesn’t affect any consumer guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Using your membership

When do I get my bin wash?
  • Essential: one once-off wash, available after 6 months of membership.
  • Family / Executive: 2 washes a year, at 6 and 12 months into your membership and at the same points each year after.
  • Estate / Premier: a wash every quarter.
Is there a size limit on event clean-ups?

Post-holiday and event pick-ups (Family / Executive and Estate / Premier) cover up to 1m³ of waste unless we agree otherwise in writing. Where an amount or volume isn’t specified for something, it defaults to 1m³ or is at our discretion.

What counts as a bulky item?

Estate / Premier includes collection of 2 bulky items, such as a mattress, a 2-seater couch or whitegoods. Other items may be collected at our discretion.

How does the neighbour referral work?

Refer a neighbour who joins and they get 5% off their membership. You get 5% off your renewal once they’ve completed their minimum term. It’s available on every tier.

Can I combine discounts?

Only one discount, voucher or offer can be applied per transaction. Vouchers and the additional skip hire discount are for your own use as a member.

What can't you collect?

Hazardous, flammable, liquid and medical waste, asbestos, batteries, gas bottles and hot ashes can’t be collected.

Full Bin Service

How does collection work?

We deliver your 240L bin (garbage, recycling, or one of each) and empty it weekly or fortnightly. We assign your collection day based on your area and confirm it by email, so your first collection date is confirmed once a day is assigned, which may be after you sign up. Fortnightly bins are collected every second week, and we’ll tell you which weeks.

When does my bin need to be out?

At the agreed collection point, with the lid closed, by 6:00am on your collection day. If we can’t reach it, that collection may be missed and is still charged.

What if you miss my bin?

If we miss a bin that was correctly presented, email us within 24 hours. We’ll return as soon as reasonably possible, or credit the collection if we can’t.

Who owns the bin, and what happens when I cancel?

The bin stays ours. Keep it at your property. When your service ends, leave it empty at the collection point and we’ll collect it. You’re responsible for the reasonable cost of replacing a bin that’s lost, stolen or damaged other than by fair wear and tear.
